CLAIRE ROSEMARY is an American storyteller working primarily in prose, animation, and digital video. She studied animation and media/film studies at DePaul University (BFA '23) and earned an MFA from Duke University's Experimental & Documentary Arts program.

 

​​​​Her writing has been published in Camas: The Nature of the WestBluestem, Freethought Today, The Bookends Review, the Star Trek blog Women at Warp, and elsewhere. Her recent essay about the importance of PBS won sixth place in the Freedom from Religion Foundation’s 2025 Cornelius Vander Broek Memorial Essay Contest. She is a huge fan of fun colors, the Oxford comma, and The Get Up Kids.

In addition to writing and video production, Claire manages a fan archive of early and obscure works of the guitarist/songwriter Doug Hopkins (1961-1993), best known for being a founding member of the band Gin Blossoms and writer of their hit songs "Hey Jealousy" and "Found Out About You."

 

She is currently writing a novel about probability, Young-Earth creationism, and the magic of live theatre.
